Karnataka is known for it’s sandel wood and Cauvery is the only authorized dealer for this in Bengaluru. The shop is run by Karnataka’s Gouvernement, all prices are fixed and there are no salespersons following you. It’s like a wholesale of souvenirs: the quality is excellent, the prices are reasonable and there are are so many choices.
They have all kinds of hand crafted wooden statues, a huge selection of incense sticks, shiny brass items, great wooden toys and beautiful silk stoles.

This is hands down the best place for your souvenirs. Don’t leave without a beautiful wooden elephant!

Beware: There are a lot of other souvenir shops in Bengaluru trying to imitate this place by misspelling the name. So, if you ask your tuk-tuk-driver for “Cauvery Emporium”, make sure they drive you to this place on MG Road / Kamaraja Road. Otherwise you might end up at “Kauvery”, “Cavery” or another place where your driver gets a nice commission.
